The OSS BREACHER TACTICAL LEVEL III PATROL RIFLE SHIELD is designed specifically for a rapid patrol deployment to provide immediate rifle protection for First Responders and defeat multiple rifle rounds.
A Level IIIA shield, which has long been the standard in Law Enforcement, is used to protect from pistol rounds only, and will not protect you against rifle rounds. In this day and age, suspects are more frequently using rifles to carry out their crimes, thus the need for shields with greater ballistic protection than Level IIIA is needed. In many instances, Level III shields are cost prohibitive for Law Enforcement agencies.
However, our shields are affordably priced to help all agencies obtain and deploy them in critical situations. This shield comes standard with a quick release sling snap shackle to abandon the shield quickly if need be.
